How Vodka started

While the name vodka is a relation to the Russian voda (“water”), the origins of the liquor are a matter of debate. Some claim that it originated as early as the 8th or 9th century in either Poland or Russia. Regardless of when or where it originated, a liquor called vodka was present in Russia during the 14th century.
